Tap tapers
WebTaps are rod-shaped and used to make threads on the inside of holes, while dies are O-shaped and used to make threads on the outside of rods. Sets come equipped with taps and dies of different materials. The tap or die should always be harder than the material it's cutting to prevent breaking.
