The valve has double or single cylinder positions by moving the handle forward od backward. My problem is the double action side says lift and drop but using lift as pressure it seems wrong. Been told that BSD means it is a Ford Basildon built diesel.

The starter is good, the ignition switch is good and the solenoid appears to be good as well (we can start the engine by shorting across the power and the smaller wire at the solenoid).

Symptoms are super sensitive wheel after getting by the lag which translates to about 40 degrees of steering wheel play prior to steering taking effect but when it does it requires continuous corrections to stay on track. The serial under the hood which clearly says 3600 is ca223c 7f01b, meaning it was made in 1967. It was one of the changes From a 2/3000 that went along with the gear pump and dual lift handles. The lines go in to the new style flow control valve and an elbow in the rear end where the traction disconnect on an SOS used to be.
