She is a strong woman living in a time of terrible drought, struggling to take care of her son alone. WebElijah goes to Zarephath, meets a woman, and asks her for some water and bread. The woman is gathering sticks and states she only has a little oil and flour. The widow tells Elijah after she gathers sticks, she can make the last meal and die. Elijah tells her to go ahead andmake some, so she does.
