WebConsent to Assessment and Treatment of Sensitive Areas The College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) has enacted a policy requiring both new and returning clients to give special consent for “sensitive areas” (defined by the CMTO as the buttocks, chest wall muscles, upper inner thighs and breasts) before every massage treatment. WebCMTO’s exam regulation requires individuals who fail an exam three times to obtain a new Massage Therapy diploma before taking the exams again. A person who fails the exams three times, obtains a new diploma and then re-applies to take the examinations is treated as a new applicant.
